It has been said before by me that I have regained my motivation, only to have that statement followed by a long silence after it proved to be shortlived. Well today I am here, writing that I am motivated to lose the weight again! And this time I feel like I felt when I started the weight loss earlier this year.. and it stuck for some time…
My new short term goals are to lose 30 pounds (374.2 to 344.2), to take a walk everyday and work up to drinking a gallon of water everyday.
There is no trying.. there is no maybe… I am focused and ready to do this!!!
Today I turned 48 years old… had great celebration over the weekend… so I figured today that I should review the year and see what has gone on.
Looking back to my weight in past years:
12/2008: 340.0 lbs
12/2009: 404.6 lbs
12/2010: 415.0 lbs
12/2011: 372.0 lbs
Finished this year on a bad trend.. lost all focus and are not tracking weight watchers at all…
BUT… I am down 43 pounds this year!!! Some can be attributed to Weight Watchers… some to trying Prozac for weight loss… and some to just controlling myself..
So the cake is done and the ‘celebrating’ is over… back to tracking!!!
This article from Zen Habits (a great blog) really made sense to me.
In other news.. Day 4 of back on WW plan… going well with 9.6 pounds lost! Trending in the right direction again and plan on making this stretch a long loss!
It’s been a tough 3 days back on the WW plan… But I have tracked every bite (even the bad ones) and stayed under my daily allowance.
So I took a break from weight watchers… I shouldn’t have… I was doing so well… Then I started cheating… tracking less and less… Then finally not at all… And I gained weight… Funny how it always comes back on faster than you can lose it… Well I’m not laughing.
It was a 7 week break… And I gained 17 pounds back…
Today is the second day back fully focused and back on plan… Tracking 100% and well under my points… Lots of fruit… Water… So far so good.
I was doing really well on Weight Watchers and then I took a break… it was about a 2 week break and I wasn’t having a free for all on the food until the last weekend… the damage was about 12 pounds gained back!
So today I am here at 368.0 pounds and am back on the WW tracking and plan. In an effort to motivate myself to stay focused I am posting 2 photos that I took back on March 11, 2011… so almost 8 months ago… I weighed 397.2 pounds… Continue reading
Something new… instead of writting I will post a link to something I found interesting…
25 Ways to Cut 500 Calories a Day
Yesterday I was trying my best to be way under on points.. so when it came to dinner I had some decisions to make… it was just me and 2 of my sons (Cece was out with the girls) and I thought of a few choices… Chipotle.. I hadn’t been in awhile and the Weight Watches guide had some choices that didn’t look too bad… then I thought East Buffet.. East Buffet is one of those all you can eat chinese/americanized buffets… no real way of knowing the points and could be dangerous with lots of fried items… a few other places went through my mind… but they all seemed like poor choices… but Souplantation kept coming to mind…
I love souplantation and I figured that I could make some decent choices there… so that is where we went… Continue reading
9/13/10: 423.6 pounds (all time high)
8/16/11: 358.2 pounds (lowest since May, 2009)
65.4 pounds lost in 11 months
An accomplishment to be proud of… and just a drop in the bucket… almost 1/3 of my goal…
It’s interesting that I weighed 410.0 on 6/13/11… so I lost 51.8 pounds in the last 63 days!
The majority of the weight loss (37.0 pounds to be exact) has been lost in the last 42 days (since I started on Weight Watchers) and partially due to my recent hospital stay for Gall Bladder removal. Other than that I really don’t know what to attribute the second most dramatic weight loss I have ever had (I lost 73 pounds in one year back in 1982) to… Continue reading
