Yesterday was my first Weight Watchers meeting since signing up last week and I lost 7.6 pounds for the week (very pleased with that)… earned my 5 pounds lost star…  I realize now that I really can’t say how my buddies did… don’t want to say anything that they might not want said.. so I will just say that it was great to see them and that having each other for support is going to be a great help to all of us.

Staying on the program was pretty easy.. it is a lot of work to track and plan and prepare foods…  I was able to stay under my daily points everyday and not use and weekly points.

The most challenging and by far the worst meal experience was on Saturday night… We (my entire family) went to the Elephant Bar for my oldest son’s birthday.  The problem is that there are not many choices that are not crazy in the points area.. the amount of fat in almost every dish is crazy!  The lowest fat entree salad (without dressing) on the menu has 33 grams of fat!  So I decide to get the Shrimp noodle soup and a Garden burger with sauteed veggies for a total of 22 points… which is more than I have had for a single meal all week.  The soup was good and the veggies were good but the Garden burger was soggy (veggie juice had soaked the bottom bun so I removed it)

The stars of the week for me were the Weight Watchers Fresh Vegetable Soup recipe that I really enjoyed and the Weight Watchers Creamy Tomato Sauce recipe

After the weigh-in meeting I went home and made a large batch of the Vegetable soup and a batch of my Pasta Salad that I adapted to lower the points (recipe HERE)

My biggest challenge for the week (again) was ‘EXERCISE’.  I did zero workouts, zero walks, nothing at all.  I had plans to be active, but balked at each opportunity.  This is a huge mental block that I have to overcome this week.

Goals for the week:

  • Lose 10 pounds
  • Exercise 3+ days
  • Try1 new recipe
